Original Blue Label Oil Wood Finish

Penofin penetrating oil wood finish is formulated to enhance and protect the natural beauty of any variety of wood. Use Penofin oil wood finish on any exterior wood surface where a transparent finish with ultraviolet protection is needed.

Blue Label Oil Wood Finish Application Tips

SHAKE PRODUCT WELL BEFORE USING. DO NOT add thinning or blending agents. Apply Penofin to a clean, dry surface. Surface must be free of dirt and sawdust build-up. DO NOT APPLY IN DIRECT, HOT SUNLIGHT (when wood is hot to the touch). Brush on, use a stain pad, or spray on (garden or pump airless sprayers) one coat of Penofin. For maximum penetration wait 30 minutes, then use a nap-free shop cloth and wipe the entire surface removing any excess product. Surface will be dry to the touch in three hours and ready for use in 12 hours When using the one-coat formula, the application is now complete. If using the two-coat formula, wait a minimum of three hours and apply a light second coat and again wipe any excess from the entire application area. Maximum performance on kiln-dried lumber. For unseasoned wood, allow 30 days drying time before application. Penofin is an oil-based product. Clean brushes with mineral spirits or paint thinner. Avoid contact with metals, i.e., ferrous metal brushes and steel wool. Tannic acid in cedar and redwood will have a chemical reaction which will darken the wood. Dispose of rags and other waste according to specific instructions on back panel. Caution & Warnings Combustible – keep this product away from heat, open flame, and sparks. Beware of spontaneous combustion. Make certain all rags or other materials used with Penofin are soaked in water, stored in an air-tight container, or otherwise disposed of safely. Gallon Coverage Smooth surfaces: 200-300 square feet. Rough surfaces: 125-175 square feet (a gallon) for both coats of Oil Wood Finish. Product Performance Expect 2-4 years on vertical surfaces, 9-18 months on horizontal surfaces depending on use and weather exposure.
