Prices
As much as I’d love to tell you that your price is set in stone, it is not. If I was selling an ipod or a widget I could give you an exact price as there is no variation with it. We see decks in all shapes, sizes, and conditions which have various needs.
Deck restoration prices depend on:
- The square footage of your deck + handrails + stairs
- Does the deck need to be washed or stripped and/or brightened?
- Do we need to sand the deck (rare)?
- Do we have to do excessive tarping do to elevated deck with vegetation concerns?
- Which brand stain are we applying to the deck?
- Is the stain clear, semi-transparent, or solid?
- How are we applying the stain by hand with brush or spraying?
- For an exact quote we need to see the deck, but here are some guidepoints
- Deck restoration usually falls around $1.50 per square foot
- 90% of the decks we have done cost less then $500
- We do not strip painted decks, but we will wash and repaint.
- We cannot price match as we saturate the wood, most companies here in Michigan like to cover the wood, we like to protect it. Sure we will do your deck less often, but you will be happier with your deck and it’s longevity and in turn we hope you recommend us to your friends and family.

- Do we need to add sand the joints (common and inexpensive)?
- Do we have to do rust or efflorescence removal?
- Which brand of sealer are we applying to the deck?
- How are we applying the stain by hand with brush or spraying?
- Flatwork usually falls around $.25 per square footfor washing only
- Paver washing, sanding, and sealing usually falls around $1.75 per square foot using the top brand super diamond clear sealer
